Cultural and meeting center since 50 years, Numaga Gallery has, since its beginning, invited to the discovery of contemporary and modern artists’ works of art from very different backgrounds, combined exhibitions with presentation of remarkable ethnographic pieces representing primitive art from all around the world.

Numaga Gallery has firstly display its influence in la Chaux-de-Fonds and during long time in Auvernier to establish itself in Colombier since 2001. Its reputation acquired thanks to Gilbert Huguenin’s experience and taste for discovery, as well as to have known how connecting culture throughout different population stratums and the creation world, has rapidly attracted art lover’s, collectors and attentive & sensitive observers’ attention, to get close to the reality of the living art to the opposition of the stultifying effect of formal shows.

This philosophy of the living art has conducted to the presentation of often unknown artists from which we can today find works of art in the famous museums’ cymas and at the experienced collector places: Franz Beer, André Ramseyer, Hernandez Pijuan, Ben Nicholson, Bonfanti, Léon Zack and so many others. These encounters continue today with the same conviction that cultural collisions can help to the improvement of our comprehension and acceptation of our diversities.
